Stichting Maternal Matters

Foundation Maternal Matters aims to support researchers involved in Safe Motherhood related projects anywhere in the world. Would you like to make a contribution to Maternal Matters? Our bank details our provided below.

Researchers can contact us for financial support. A one pager with formal request for funding can be send to Maternalmattersfoundation@gmail.com. We aim to respond within four weeks.

Requirements for funding

  • The topic of the research project should be related to Safe Motherhood, the study site can be anywhere in the world.
  • The researcher is unable to cover the costs for the research project on his or her own expense.
  • The research team needs to consist of at least one, preferably several, researchers who are permanent residents of the country where the research is performed.
  • The research project is approved by local research authorities.
  • Foundation Maternal Matters has enough financial means to provide the requested financial support.

Proposal requirements

  • A proposal of maximum 600 words should summarize the aim of the project and include a motivation for requesting financial support. It should also include a budget overview, indicating the research projects total costs, the amount requested for funding and, if applicable, how remaining costs are covered. A breakdown of how the funding will be spent is required.

  • Research proposal
  • Approval of local research authorities to perform research
